About the Maker

Ayse Habibe Kucuk

Ayse Habibe Kucuk is a ceramic artist blending the rich heritage of her Turkish roots with modern, minimalist design. Born and raised in Gaziantep, Turkey, a city known for its deep cultural history, her early life was shaped by the vibrant traditions that now inspire much of her work.
After studying sculpture at Sakarya University, she discovered her passion for hand-built ceramics, where she creates each piece from scratch. Her signature style combines the raw beauty of textured surfaces with the delicate elegance of lace patterns, softened by neutral-toned glazes. This harmonious blend of organic and refined elements captures a balance between nature and minimalist aesthetics.
Now based in London, she runs a studio in Broadway Market, where she creates unique, handmade pieces that reflect both tradition and innovation. Her work, exhibited internationally, invites viewers to engage with the interplay between past and present, merging Turkish influences with a contemporary vision.
