Our founder

Hadas Teuscher

For the past ten years, I worked at a Chicago architectural and interior design firm where my role evolved into serving as the company’s Director of Communications. Along with writing the firm’s newsletter and blog, I began to source objects for various projects. What I quickly realized was that the luxury design marketplace was devoid of distinctive pieces. Whether you were searching for a unique ceramics vessel or captivating glassware, most pieces just looked the same.

I decided to combine my love of design with my passion for sourcing; this meant scouring the internet for makers that shared my love of elegant, minimalistic, and authentic design. I quickly discovered that these makers were located all over the world… from Turkey to Iceland and Mexico to Portugal. With a value system that mirrored mine, these talented artists all recognized the importance of creating one-of-a-kind, authentic pieces.

When I am not working on Trove, I find myself busy as a mom to three amazing kiddos and an adorable black cavapoo, Dax. Even though they are “older” now, there is still plenty to keep me on my toes. At 22, 20, and 17… my childrens’ perpetual love of travel and desire to be “citizens of the world” is a big part of what inspired Trove. I believe that if you surround yourself with meaningful, intentional objects… you feel a sense of peace that cannot be easily replicated.

I also share my home with my amazing husband of 25 years. We started our shared collection on our honeymoon where we found a stunning lamp in an antique store in Monaco. Little did we know the trials-and-tribulations that it would take to get this fixture home; however each time I walk by it, I am reminded of that October 1999 day!
