Brown Marble

Sale price$1,160

The pieces in this marble collection are sculpted by the Téllez Workshop from the town of Tecali (from the Nahuatl 'House of Stone') in the state of Puebla. Using a chisel, hammer, and grinder, these artifacts are hand-carved. The pieces can be replicated; however, due to the wide variety of veining patterns, colors, and textures in the marble, and the fact that each one is handmade without using molds, every final result will be completely unique. Weighs 17.5 pounds.

About the Maker

Lørdag & Søndag

Salvador and Enzo were born on an island in Campeche, southeastern Mexico—a region steeped in Mayan and colonial history. With an architect father and a mother who practiced wildlife photography, they grew up surrounded by a rich collection of regional crafts and curiosities from their parents' travels, instilling in them the belief that a home could be filled with beautiful objects, each with its own story.
Salvador brings a background in International Business while Enzo contributes expertise in Visual Arts. Together, they draw inspiration from ancient and contemporary Mexican culture—from archaeology to modern art—collaborating closely with artisans from diverse communities to create pieces that seamlessly blend clean aesthetics with timeless design.
