Designed by Claude Bouchard. Marcel Basket is part of the Slash Collection, part of the Foglia Couture Project. The name for this container comes from the type of cut in this design, a slash. The narrow basket with thick stitching details takes shape from a single sheet of 2-ply leather with several precise cuts and held together via hand-stitching. The details come through in the leather thickness, raw-cutting, dyed edges, and contrasting color stitching. Handmade in Pesaro, Italy.

Surrounded by the timeless and romantic countryside of Pesaro, the two artists convey their creativity into the production of unique, refined items and small pieces of furniture, all made of leather and natural materials.
Here, between medieval walls and suggestive views, the traditional art of leatherworking becomes a contemporary expression of creativity.
