Lukasz Friedrich is a Warsaw-based designer working at the intersection of craft and sculptural form. Born into a family of blacksmiths and metal fabricators spanning over 120 years, Friedrich came to design after studying Cultural Anthropology at Warsaw University and spending a decade learning the family metalworking trade. What began as a collection made to showcase his workshop's technical possibilities became his practice—a shift from fabrication to design that proved, in his words, surprisingly seamless.
Friedrich works primarily in brass and steel, with welding as his signature technology—a place where he improvises freely, joining different alloys and treating the appearance of the weld itself as part of the work. His process moves from material and technique toward form, each piece a challenge to his own hands as a craftsman. The results are unburdened by tradition or movement, belonging instead to a territory where everything is allowed and more is expected. He summarizes his creations in a single phrase: "Made at available light."

Each piece is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and quality. We strive to ensure that your unique finds are delivered to you safely and promptly. For available items, please allow up to 4-6 weeks. For custom items, please allow up to 8-10 weeks. We appreciate your patience as our skilled artists create your one-of-a-kind piece. 

Returns & Natural Variations

All sales are final. Many Trove pieces are made with natural materials and/or by hand, so color, pattern, veining, inclusions, and dimensions may vary slightly from item to item. Differences you may notice in person vs. your computer/phone are normal and can be influenced by screen settings and lighting. These subtle imperfections are part of each piece’s uniqueness and are not considered defects. Please review all details and reach out with questions before purchasing.

Final shipping costs — including customs, crating, and handling — will be invoiced separately after weight, size, and destination are confirmed by the maker.
