Stoneware, black sculpture clay with huge white grogs. Hand-built using slab, coiling, and carving techniques. Engobe has been applied with yellow clay. Handmade in 2024.

I am Merve Gökgöz. I was born in Turkey. Graduated from Gazi University in Ankara, Art Teacher department. Meanwhile i joined exhibitions which held by my university. I worked as an art teacher nearly 3 years. Although i was met for very short time with ceramic in my collage times, I can say I met with ceramic strictly after pandemic. First started with little pieces and sketches, then it has evolved to vessels and big objects.
Meanwhile I worked with a ceramic artist in her studio to look closer this area. During producing my own objects, my two vessel had been chosen to exhibit, by 1000 vases in Paris, during Paris Design Week in September. This was very grateful opportunity for me to meet ceramic artists all around the world, in this great atmosphere.
I am still working and producing on my new collection in new season.
