Vase 06 is a handmade cream-colored ceramic ikebana vase that is part of aoaos Kado Collection meaning, "Way of Flowers." The design draws inspiration from the Japanese art of flower arranging (ikebana). The core idea is to rebuild the spiritual exchange between humans and nature. About the Maker

Studio AOAO

Studio AOAO is a Netherlands-based studio founded by Onur Iseri and Alicja Strzyzynska, working primarily in ceramics, plaster, and light. The practice grew out of an unlikely overlap: one came from interior design and architecture, the other from a digital and business world far removed from anything handmade. What reads as a single signature is in fact two ways of seeing pulling against each other, and that friction gives the work its character.
Their process begins with a question rather than a sketch: what a glaze does when pushed past its comfort zone, what happens when a surface is left unfinished where convention says it should be sealed. Curiosity drives them to the edge of a material's behaviour, the point where it stops cooperating and starts surprising. They aren't chasing perfection but resonance: the quiet feeling an object gives off when its weight, surface, and proportions settle into place. Ceramics and plaster don't bend to deadlines or moods, and the patience the work demands has shaped how they move through everything else—a slow attention to the long arc of a single piece, from the first messy test to the moment it finds its place in someone's home.
