About the Maker

Lilith Rockett

I've been working in ceramics professionally since 2005. My career began in Los Angeles when I opened my studio as well as a ceramic gallery, representing 11 other artists. In 2008 I relocated to Portland, Oregon, set up a new studio and started showing in galleries and design showrooms across the country, doing juried retail shows and working with interior designers. In 2011 my career took an interesting turn when Chef Matt Lightner discovered my work at a gallery and asked me to create a collection for Atera in NYC. Since that time I have designed and created custom tableware and lighting for many incredible chefs and restaurants, most with Michelin stars and James Beard Awards. I continue my work with interior designers and private clients while my practice is ever evolving and now includes wood firing, soda firing, wild foraged materials, and a deep study of geology and ceramic materials.
