Studio S II was co-founded by longtime collaborators Erica Sellers and Jeremy Silberberg in 2020. Their designs subvert conventions and often layer dualities like corporeality and the mechanical. S II's furniture and spaces elude categorization, embracing the peculiar and uncanny.
Studio S II was named one of Wallpaper magazine's top 400 in 2024 and was also a recipient of the 2024 Queens Art Fund, NYS Seed Funding Grant, and City Artist Corps Grant. Their works have also been exhibited in Collectible Design Fair New York in 2024, Design Dysphoria during NYCxDesign, ALCOVA Milano, OTRAS FORMAS SS 2023, and the 2023 VOLTA ART FAIR in New York.
Erica holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design and has over a decade of experience in fine art. She was Head of Production for Tavares Strachan and led installations at the 55th and 57th Venice Biennales, Prospect 3. New Orleans, the 57th Edition of the Carnegie International, SF MoMA, and Marian Goodman Gallery. After co-founding S II in 2020, Erica competed on Ellen’s Next Great Designer on HBO Max.
Jeremy holds a BFA in Film from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. He worked for AD100 architecture firms Charlap Hyman & Herrero and Sachs Lindores, and in production design for film and television.
