The Minotaur vessel was named after the mythical monster from Greek mythology that had a bull's head and a human's body. This sculptural ceramic piece is defined by the striking contrast between soft curves and sharp angles; gentle, flowing lines create a sense of tranquillity, while the pointed apex introduces an element of tension. This interplay of opposites results in a visually captivating composition. Minotaur's natural color is made from white-beige clay with 40% grog.

Chous Ceramics was founded by Despina and Giorgos Chous. The couple is passionate about bringing the beauty of hand-built ceramics to art enthusiasts worldwide. Despite Despina's background in industrial management and banking and Giorgos' background in graphic and web design, they've seamlessly combined their unique skills to create a ceramic studio where art and innovation converge. Despina and Giorgos are inspired by the desire to create truly meaningful pieces.

As their family grew, Despina felt a strong pull towards a more creative and fulfilling life; as such, she left her banking career to pursue her passion for ceramics. With his eye for aesthetics and expertise in design, Giorgos brought a fresh perspective to the handmade pieces. Chous Ceramics opened in the couple's hometown of Sparta, Greece... this felt like the perfect next step!
