White & Gold Vessel 125

Sale price$4,830

Distinct from other forms in the White & Gold Collection, this tall, column-like vessel draws inspiration from the contemplative sculptural work of Toshiko Takaezu. Echoing her philosophy of vessels as closed forms with inward presence, the silhouette here is restrained and quietly powerful. A single sweeping gesture of gold glaze curves down the surface like a brushstroke, its motion held within a body textured by swirling clay. Subtle porcelain slip accents interrupt the gesture just enough to create depth and tonal complexity. Created in a single, uninterrupted session, this work reflects the raw rhythm and intuitive energy that defines Beverly's practice. This tall, column-like vessel evokes stillness and strength. A single sweeping gesture of gold glaze moves across textured swirls of clay, composing a moment of quiet power and presence.

About the Maker

Beverly Morrison

Beverly Morrison is a Los Angeles-based sculptor whose work embodies a deep reverence for nature, movement, and raw materiality. With over 20 years of expertise in clay, she creates sculptural works that evoke both tranquility and dynamism, drawing inspiration from organic forms, natural textures, and Eastern philosophies of imperfection.
Morrison’s process is a dialogue between material and maker, an intuitive "sculptural dance" where each piece develops its own presence. Her signature aesthetic—defined by expressive gestures, tactile surfaces, and evocative lines—seeks to capture fleeting moments of energy and contemplation. She meticulously crafts her own clay bodies, allowing her to form a personal connection with the medium from inception to completion. Her works, often described as Modern Day Relics, offer a meditation on time, earth, and impermanence, inviting viewers to engage in quiet reflection.
Morrison’s work has been featured in LUXE Interiors + Design, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House, and the Pasadena Showcase House. Her pieces are held in private and public collections across the globe and regularly appear in high-end interiors through her collaborations with the design trade.
